Member American Boxer Club
AKC Sanctioned
Greetings and Welcome!
We are glad you found us!
Brief History:
The Boomer Boxer Club was established in 1952, incorporated and formally filed with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission on February 10, 1954, and held it's first point show in 1955. In 1966 we started holding independent specialties, in the 1970's this was increased to two a year. We hosted the American Boxer Club Regional in 1979. This Regional was the first cluster of just specialty clubs allowed by the AKC (Boomer, ABC Regional and the Boxer Club of Oklahoma - Tulsa). The experiment was such a success that it became the prototype for many other events of this format.
Throughout the years the club has endeavored to promote, protect and to ensure the quality and integrity of the breed. The approaches we try to take secure the longevity of the Boxer as a energetic, fun loving, gorgeous breed are both fun and educational. Our club is based out of the Oklahoma City area in Oklahoma, but we have and do except members throughout the United States. Our club members' interests range from active pet owner, obedience, agility, and conformation.
Boomer Boxer Club, Inc. meetings are every 2nd Friday of each month at 7:30 pm, except the months of June, July & August.
